Chester Main Street Project Meeting Moved Due to Weather

Due to the arrival of winter weather, the Chester Community meeting tomorrow for Main Street’s improvement project has been changed to later in the month.

The Plumas County Transportation Commission, with Caltrans’ Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program, is inviting the community to share thoughts and needs to help transform Main Street into a Complete Street. This would mean adding safer and more comfortable transportation options, sidewalks, bike lanes, and crosswalks, and improving access to local businesses. This month’s meeting aims to produce a roadmap to implement the plan; you can view what has been proposed by visiting chestermainstreet.com.

The meeting will be held at the Almanor Rec Center on November 29th from 5:30 to 7 pm.
