Lassen Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at the Lassen County Fairgrounds tomorrow.

County Producers and those concerned about the state’s growing wolf population will have an opportunity to listen in to a presentation by Charlton Bonham, the Director of the Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), with an update on Gray Wolf activity and activities at the State level regarding wolf interactions and attacks on livestock, including general information about the CDFW. This has been a year-long process on behalf of the supervisors to bring in a representative from the CDFW to discuss this topic since depredation became relevant to producers in 2018.

The board will also consider approving a project with Union Pacific Railroad and Caltrans to improve the RR crossing on Hackstaff road. Work would include new paving, singing and striping, and installation of new track panels, crossing surfaces, signals, and gate arms.

The meeting will be held in Jensen Hall starting at 8 am.

You can find the full agenda on the county website.
