The Highway 70 closure has an estimated time of reopening. Caltrans District 3 hopes to reopen the highway by Monday, the 29th. Crews continue to clear debris from the rock slide that occurred early Monday morning following continual rainfall over the weekend. The closure is in place from the Greenville wye to Jarbo Gap at the Butte County line.
Crews are also scaling areas to check for instability to ensure the roadways’ safety.
