Smoke will be visible from a prescribed burn taking place tomorrow.

The Lassen Modoc Unit of CALFIRE will be assisting with the agricultural burn conducted by Fish and Wildlife in the Honey Lake Refuge Area in the Dakin Unit.

Unit Fire Cheif Scott Packwood says the planned project will reduce approximately 84 acres of flammable fuels while improving natural habitat. Supporting agencies will include the Standish Volunteer Fire Department and Lassen National Forest. SMOKE MAY BE VISIBLE in the Honey Lake Valley area near Wendel for several days.

The CALFIRE Unit asks that you PLEASE DO NOT REPORT.
