You may also see smoke for a few days along the Bucks Lake area. The Mount Hough Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest is burning piles that may take up to 14 days. The project is within a Defensible Fuel Profile Zone and will improve forest health by reducing ground fuels. Burning will only take place on burn days established by the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District.
