The facility had temporarily closed to allow for the recovery of a group of animals that had contracted an equine infection known as strangles.Adoptions and purchases are available by appointment only and can be scheduled during a visit to the corral or by contacting the facility at 530-254-6575.Emily Ryan, the manager of the BLM Eagle Lake Field Office in Susanville, expressed that all animals have made a full recovery and will be prepared for placement in good homes.
