The Bureau of Land Management’s Northern California District Resource Advisory Council will hold a two-day field tour and meeting at the end of this month.
The meeting is open to the public, and you can access a virtual option for the Thursday meeting. You can visit the BLM-California webpage two weeks in advance to participate virtually.
On April 26th, the council will meet starting at 10 a.m. at the BLM’s Northern California District Office and leave for a field tour of public lands managed by the Redding Field Office. You are welcome to attend but must provide your transportation and meals.
On the 27th, the council will meet at 8 a.m. in the Northern California District Office conference room to discuss land use plans that will apply to public lands managed by the Redding and Arcata field offices. This includes the development of the Northwest California Integrated Resource Management Plan, a business plan for recreation areas.
You will also hear a report on a Cascade Siskiyou National Monument management plan, receive information on a proposed BLM public lands rule, and hear a report on BLM land acquisitions. Managers of the BLM Arcata, Applegate, Redding, and Eagle Lake field offices will also be on hand to provide information on activities and projects. The council will accept public comments at 11 a.m.
