Update: CHP Identifies victim of last week’s fatality as Russell Shawn Clark, 55, of Gerber. The cause of the incident is unknown. Investigations continue.
The California Highway Patrol is responding to a Big Rig collision near Greenville on HWY 89 at Crescent Grade. The logging truck collided with the embankment. There is major damage to the semi, the driver was found in the vehicle. First responders have confirmed the driver has suffered from fatal injuries. Emergency crews and first responders are at the scene. A tow truck is in route.
Use caution and be prepared for delays if traveling through the area.
