Just mailed out just a few weeks ago, and the primaries are just around the corner; voters in Portola will be asked to vote for a second time due to the oversight. Measure A, the ¾% sales use tax increase, was mistakenly left off ballots. The measure aims to fund the sheriff’s office to bolster staffing and public safety.
The county says they are working diligently to correct the oversight. Voters in the Portola area will be receiving a supplemental ballot in the mail.
