May is Wildfire Preparedness Month, and to help you prepare for fire season,
The Plumas County Fire Safe Council will bring together agencies geared toward protecting your home. The council will host a Wildfire Preparedness Fair with over 15 booths of organizations, businesses, and agencies where you can learn about fuel reduction around your home through no-cost chipping, how to prepare defensible space around your home and request fire-safe home visits. You can also register for the many Firesafe Council Programs designed to help you get ready for the wildfire season.
The event will be held at Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 13, from 10 am to 3 pm.
