With soaring temperatures ahead for the long holiday weekend, the City of Alturas says you won’t be able to cool off this season at the pool.
During the City’s June Council meeting, Anderson Engineering delivered the unfortunate update on the rehabilitation project that it will not be moving forward this summer and that repairs have been pushed back due to delays in receiving bid packages from contractors for the work to be completed. The city says because of the time needed to complete the repairs, the pool will not be able to open for the 2023 summer season. Yet the engineer has said all components should be in place by next year, solidifying a pool season in 2024.
