PRESS RELEASE
On 4/25/25 at approximately 1600 hours, the Lassen County Dispatch Center received a 911 call in regards to an accidental shooting at the Lassen County Superior Court.
Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Office personnel found an injured Law Enforcement Officer who was suffering from a leg injury as a result of an accidental gunshot wound.
The Law Enforcement Officer was transported to an out of area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The case is currently under investigation. There is no threat to public safety. The Lassen County Superior Court will resume normal operations on Monday morning, April 28th , 2025.
