A New Chapter of Leadership Unfolds at The Almanor Foundation

The Almanor Foundation announced that Susan Bryner is the new chairperson of its board of directors. Mark Pecotich will serve as vice chair, and Josh Huddleston will become secretary.

With family ties in the Lake Almanor area since the 1970s, Bryner became a full-time resident in 2003, when she opened a bookstore in Chester. Active in the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce, she’s been chamber president twice. In addition, Bryner is a co-owner of Coldwell Banker Kehr/O’Brien Real Estate. She is a founding director of the Plumas Tourism Association, formerly Feather River Tourism Association, currently serving as vice chair. Also an Elk, she serves on the Elk’s scholarship committee.

“As we move forward into 2025, we are one-third of the way through our 18-month strategic plan,” said Bryner. “By the end of this year, we will set a direction for the next two to three years, ensuring we remain diligent in our efforts to fulfill our mission.”
