Recall ballots are arriving in your mailbox. With the mail shuffle we are experiencing due to the Dixie fire, Julie Bustamante, Lassen County’s Clerk Recorder, reassures you that you will be able to vote. If you cannot retireve your ballot in your mailbox due to evacuation status you can visit the Clerk Recorders office where one will be reissued to you, or you may vote in person at voting machines at the Clerk’s office on Election Day, September 14th. Ballots will be re-issued up to 8pm election night. Once re-issued a ballot, the original is automatically voided to avoid any duplicate voting fraud. If you wish to not mail out your ballot you are also welcome to drop it off to their office located at 220 S. Lassen St. #5, they close at 4:30, Monday through Friday.
