Lassen County’s Unprocessed Ballots Report Indicates Over 3,800 Ballots Awaiting Processing

The Lassen County Elections Office has reported an estimated 3,883 unprocessed ballots following the November 5, 2024, General Election. With a cumulative total of 7,568 ballots already processed, the county is working to finalize the remaining vote count. The next results update is expected today, November 8, at 10:00 a.m.

According to the report, 3,406 of the unprocessed ballots are vote-by-mail ballots received on or before Election Day, while an additional 90 ballots are vote-by-mail ballots forwarded by other counties after Election Day. Provisional ballots and conditional voter registration ballots account for another 353 ballots pending review. Additionally, 34 ballots require further examination due to potential damage or other issues, while 31 ballots are challenged and left to cure due to signature or identification discrepancies.

This report represents an initial update, with a final report to be released once all ballots have been processed.

Plumas County elections office has yet to release a second ballot count update.
