After shots rang out, first responders arrived on the scene to find two unnamed individuals dead inside a vehicle late Saturday morning.
On November 9 at approximately 10:10 a.m., Lassen County Dispatch received multiple reports of a shooting near Grand Avenue and Fifth Street in Susanville. Personnel from the Susanville Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, and Cal Fire swiftly responded to the area. There responders located two individuals in a vehicle who were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Susanville Police Department, there is no outstanding suspect or threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities seek the communities assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Those with information are urged to contact Officer Capron at the Susanville Police Department at 530-257-5603, extension 6021.
