The City is calling on you to participate in an Outreach Study Session as part of its ongoing efforts to update the General Plan for 2025-2050. In a special meeting to be held next week, you will have a chance to be directly involved in the planning process that will shape the city’s future.

City Planner Kelly Mumper, Housing Element Lead Ryan Lester, and Project Manager Michael Gibbons will lead the session, which will cover key chapters of the General Plan, including Housing, Community Character, Open Space, Parks, Recreation, Childcare, Community Health, Safety, Conservation, and the Implementation Program. This is a unique opportunity for the community, planning commissioners, city council members, local developers, and contractors to share insights and feedback on the proposed updates.

The selected consultant for the project will review the City’s current plan, last updated in 1990, and modernize it to reflect current conditions and policies. The updated General Plan will serve as a strategic guide for the city’s growth and development over the next 25 years, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the community.

This special meeting of the city council and study session will be held in City Hall on Wednesday, September 4th at 3 pm. The agenda and details can be found on the city’s website.
