The Portola North loop project that began 8 years ago will see phase 1 revived this coming week. The Portola city council will be adopting the plan specifications of the project and its estimated costs that will enable to bidding on the project to open. The project involves the reconstruction of Joy Way from West street east to Beckwith Street. Construction will also include new asphalt concrete, the building of curbs and gutters for a sidewalk with ADA ramps, and a bicycle lane. The multimillion-dollar project was adopted and funded by the California Transportation commission in 2018. The Portola City council will meet Wednesday, June 22nd, at 6 pm.
