Chester has a fire department back. Interim General Manager, Adam Cox, announced CPUD has been able to attain adequate liability insurance just two days after the volatile special meeting of the CPUD board. NorCal EMS has approved the new policy and Chester Fire Department has resumed full operations. CFD will immediately begin an operational review of its business practices and policies to ensure continuity of operations. Despite the return of emergency medical and fire coverage in the community, many questions remain unanswered and many issues in need of addressing to ensure a lapse like this will not be in the districts near future.
