Now is that window to get prepared for the next small series of winter storms set to hit the region. The Reno national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory from Friday at 5pm lasting through Saturday afternoon. The first weaker storm should arrive tonight with some snow showers in the higher elevations. By Friday you can expect to see Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches below 5000 feet, and up to 3 to 6 inches in those upper areas of our region. Travel this weekend will see delays as roads get slick as overnight temperatures drop back into the teens by Sunday. Be prepared for extra travel delays starting Saturday.
