Feather River College becomes a finalist for the one million dollar Aspen Prize for community college excellence. Every two years 150 community colleges are nominated for the award. Kevin Trutna Superintendent and President of Feather River College in the announcement said the award demonstrates that FRC’s commitment to student success is in fact working and now being recognized at a national level. The Aspen prize honors colleges with outstanding achievement in teaching and learning, certificate and degree completion, transfer and bachelor’s attainment, workforce success, and equity for students of color and students from low-income backgrounds.
