A 28 year old man, Matthew Hunter, was fatally injured after his big rig overturned on hwy 139 just North of Rice Canyon Rd. late afternoon on Friday. He was unable to make the left hand turn and steered down a steep embankment where he collided with three trees and overturned the big rig. He was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Banner Lassen Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. An investigation is still ongoing.
