New Quincy CHP Area Office Construction Brings Modern Emergency Capabilities

SHARE NOW

Quincy Highway Patrol stated they are excited to share an update on the construction of the new Quincy CHP Area office.

2009 Lee Road, Quincy

After decades of serving the Quincy and surrounding communities from the same facility, a new chapter is underway!

The current Quincy CHP office was built in 1966. While it has served our community well for nearly 60 years, it no longer meets the needs of a modern CHP operation.

The new facility will bring modern capabilities to the Quincy Area, including:

⛽ On-site fueling
📡 New radio tower
☀️ Solar energy and other green initiatives
⚡ Energy-efficient systems and appliances
🚨 Enhanced capabilities to support our emergency-service partners
🏢 Command-center capabilities for large-scale emergencies

The new facility is being designed to better serve the Quincy Area and the surrounding communities for decades to come. It will provide the infrastructure and resources needed to support CHP officers, our emergency-service partners, and the residents and visitors of Plumas County and the surrounding areas.

The new facility will not be a CHP training facility. It will serve as the operational home of the Quincy CHP Area.

We are excited to share the progress with our community as construction continues!
