The Seneca Healthcare Foundation’s second annual golf tournament raised nearly $90,000 to support the future of healthcare in the Lake Almanor Basin.
Held May 29 at Bailey Creek Golf Course in Chester, the sold-out tournament drew 144 golfers and raised funds through sponsorships, registrations, raffles, and donations.
According to the foundation, proceeds will help support construction of Seneca Healthcare District’s new hospital, which is expected to open in the spring of 2027, while also helping expand healthcare services throughout the district.
Foundation Executive Director Chelssa Outland said the event’s success reflects the strong support of local businesses, volunteers, hospital construction partners, and community members who share a commitment to improving healthcare in the region.
The annual tournament has become one of the foundation’s largest fundraising events, helping provide financial support for the new hospital project and future healthcare services that will allow more residents to receive care closer to home.
Foundation officials thanked the tournament’s sponsors, volunteers, golfers, and community supporters for helping make this year’s event a success.
