The BLM has approved exploratory drilling at 22 sites totaling approximately half an acre of public lands within a 2,424-acre block of existing mining claims on public lands south of Lone Pine in Inyo County, California.
The project would allow Mojave Precious Metals Inc. to gather more data on known mineral deposits, including gold, in an area already open to mineral exploration. The decision supports efforts to increase domestic mineral production, reduce U.S. reliance on foreign minerals, and create jobs.
