Polaris and National Forest Foundation Award Over $113,000 in Outdoor Recreation Grants for 2025

Polaris Inc., in collaboration with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), has announced the recipients of the 2025 Polaris Fund for Outdoor Recreation Grants, totaling over $113,000 to support outdoor recreation and trail conservation in various National Forest locations across the U.S. This year, the grants will fund five initiatives in California, Arizona, New Hampshire, Colorado, and Kentucky, aimed at enhancing outdoor experiences and promoting responsible riding.

Pam Kermisch, chief customer and growth officer at Polaris, emphasized the company’s commitment to positively impacting areas where their products are used, stating that the grants support essential initiatives for future generations to create lasting outdoor memories.

The 2025 grant recipients include:

  • Snowmobile Park Improvements – Lassen National Forest, California: Funding will improve trail markers and signage, along with winter recreation maps, to enhance access and safety for snowmobilers.
  • Navigate Responsibly Project – Coconino National Forest, Arizona: This initiative will produce and install new signage to improve navigation for motorized visitors and protect natural resources.
  • Snowmobile Bridge Improvements – White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire: Grant funds will be used to repair two snowmobile trail bridges, ensuring safer riding experiences.
  • Alpine Loop Trail Kiosks – GMUG National Forest, Colorado: Grants will support the replacement and updating of kiosk structures for improved visibility and visitor orientation.

 

  • Phase 1: Land Between the Lakes NRA – Turkey Bay OHV Area, Kentucky: This project will initiate several upgrades including a new entrance turn lane, traffic signage, resurfacing parking areas, and expanding camping zones to enhance safety and user experience.

 

Dieter Fenkart-Froeschl, President and CEO of the NFF, expressed gratitude for the partnership with Polaris, noting that their collaboration leads to meaningful projects that improve the outdoor experience for millions of visitors.
