A wildfire on Bly Mountain in Klamath County, Oregon, has led to multiple evacuation orders and disrupted cell phone service in the region. The fire has burned over 200 acres and is moving in a north-northeast direction. The South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership (SCOFMP) Type 3 team is set to take over management of the incident on Wednesday morning.
Evacuation orders are in place under the Ready, Set, Go system, with details available on the Watchdog App. Resources deployed to combat the fire include wildland engines, helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, bulldozers, and a skidgen, with additional help ordered.
Smoke from the wildfire has affected areas across the California-Oregon border, impacting parts of Modoc County. Residents are urged to stay updated through local alerts and remain prepared for changes in fire activity as weather conditions shift.
