On 3/5/25, at approximately 10:30 AM, we received a call of a pickup off the road on SR-89, north of Calpine in Sierra County. Upon arrival, our officers located a 36 year old male driver from Calpine who was trapped inside the pickup. The driver stated he crashed the day before around 2 PM and had spent the night in the truck. The driver also stated he just wasn’t paying attention and went off the road. Graeagle Fire mechanically removed him from the wreckage and he was transported to Renown with serious injuries. Please remember the responsibility we all have to each other when operating these rolling hunks of metal.
