This weekend, Lassen High School’s Class of 2025 is hosting a Senior Arts & Crafts Auction that extends beyond typical fundraising. On Saturday, November 16, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, community members are invited to the Lassen High School Student Center, where they will not only have the chance to bid on original artwork but also contribute to a meaningful milestone for these seniors.
The event will feature over 50 distinct pieces, from ceramics and woodworking to photography and metalwork, each reflecting the diverse skills and passions of the graduating class. For Lassen’s seniors, these creations represent months of work and serve as a testament to the school’s focus on nurturing creative talent. By hosting this auction, the Class of 2025 aims to fund their senior class trip—a significant moment of bonding and celebration as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
The event’s format encourages community engagement. It starts with a silent auction at 2:00 PM and ends with a live auction at 2:30 PM. This interactive setup offers guests an immersive experience where they can see the value of supporting local youth while enjoying friendly bidding competitions over unique, hand-crafted artwork.
As more than just a fundraiser, the auction represents a bridge between the students and the community that has supported them throughout their academic journey. Community members who can’t attend in person can still participate through absentee bidder forms, making it possible for everyone to contribute to this formative experience.
The event’s organizers, Rachel Vincent and Liz Ammon, highlight that the evening will not only support the Class of 2025’s senior trip but also provide a lasting reminder of the community’s commitment to its youth.
