PG&E and Ford will come together to test the Ford F-150 Lightening EVs new charging tech against California’s power grid. The truck’s technology can supposedly give a home backup power for an entire home for 10 straight days. PG&E wants to see how Fords Intelligent backup power tech interconnects to the grid and how it supports resiliency through outages. This effort further contributes to California’s goal to reach zero emission vehicles by 2035.
