New bighorn sheep hunting opportunities in the desert! The California Fish and Game Commission has adopted three new desert bighorn sheep hunt zones (Zones 11, 12, and 13) for the 2026-27 season. Located in and around the Mojave National Preserve between I-15 and I-40, these are the first new desert bighorn sheep hunt zones since 2019.
