As temperatures rise and rattlesnake activity increases, it’s important to take precautions to help reduce the risk of encountering or being bitten by a rattlesnake. Though rattlesnake activity is increased between April and October, the season can start even earlier or be year-round in southern California due to the warmer climate. Additional information on rattlesnakes can be found on CDFW’s rattlesnake information page: https://wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Reptiles/Rattlesnake.
