(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) was sworn in for his sixth term as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 118th Congress.
“It truly is an honor to be able to serve Northern California and fight for our way of life in rural America. Our new Republican-led House will bring balance and accountability to government. In our first days, we will take steps to undo the worst of the last two years, put our country back on a positive course, fix our economy, secure our border, and reopen Congress to the people by inviting the public back to the U.S. Capitol. I will be focused not just on national priorities, but continuing the effort to build Sites Reservoir, for better management our water supplies by not letting the government waste it, actually managing our federal forests, and reducing fire risks. There is much to do, and I’m ready,” said Congressman LaMalfa.
Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California’s First Congressional District, including Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama and Yuba Counties.
