Brooke Rollins commended the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) for its announcement regarding the IDFA Healthy Dairy in Schools Commitment. This initiative is a voluntary pledge aimed at removing artificial color additives—specifically Red 3, Red 40, Green 3, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6—from milk, cheese, and yogurt products sold to K-12 schools as part of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, effective from the 2026-2027 school year.

In her remarks, Rollins emphasized the commitment of America’s dairy farmers and milk processors to provide nutritious and appealing dairy products for families and schoolchildren. She expressed enthusiasm over the prospect of whole milk returning to schools and highlighted the significance of the dairy industry’s proactive approach in responding to consumer demands without requiring government intervention. Rollins concluded by thanking IDFA and the dairy sector for their leadership and expressed hope that other industries would follow suit in efforts to promote healthier options.
