Redding, Calif. – The Shasta College Farm will host the 54th annual Spring Plant Sale on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, 2025. The event, organized by the Shasta College Horticulture Department, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
This sale is an initiative by horticulture students to support various student projects, scholarships, and activities. The event will also see participation from the California Native Plant Society (CNPS), which will be offering a diverse range of California native plants. Proceeds from CNPS sales will contribute to local student scholarships and restoration efforts.
Attendees can expect a wide assortment of plants, including annual flowering varieties, herbs, vegetable starts, shrubs, trees, native plants, strawberry plants, succulents, house plants, and perennials. All plants are cultivated with an emphasis on sustainability, with many certified as organic, ensuring they are well-suited to thrive in the local climate.
For those unable to attend in person, online plant orders will be available starting April 15. Purchases can be made through the Shasta College website, with pickup arranged at the Shasta County Farm post-sale.
