Lassen College Rodeo Team

Lassen College had another long weekend at the West Hills College rodeo in Coalinga, CA. Lassen, Feather River, West Hills, Fresno State, Cuesta, Cal Poly SLO, UNLV, UNR, Western Nevada CC, Allan Hancock, and Butte rounded out the field of teams with Feather River women’s team taking the top team spot.

Rylee Prechter had a big weekend weekend making it back to the top ten short round Saturday night in the ninth spot in goat tying. She had a little bit of rough luck in the short round but managed to improve her placing to eighth.

Lexi Carter made a good run at her event, barrel racing, but landed just outside of the top ten. It was the same story for Grace Pinochi, as she had a strong showing in the breakaway roping but finished just outside the top ten.

“I feel good about good at their performances and even better with the remaining rodeos. Our team is definitely starting to find their groove,” said Head Coach Suzanne Williams.

The Cougs are back in action on April 7 at the Cuesta College Rodeo in San Luis Obispo and April 8 at the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on April 8.
