Feather River College sophomore outside hitter Carol Manu has been named to the 2026 AVCA Two-Year College Players to Watch list, recognizing her as one of just 12 two-year college women’s volleyball student-athletes from across the country selected for the honor. Manu is one of only two 3C2A players in California to make the list and the only selection from Northern California.
Manu enters the 2026 season following an outstanding freshman campaign for the Golden Eagles. She was named the 2025 Golden Valley Conference Co-MVP, earned All-Northern California honors, was selected to the 3C2A State All-Tournament Team, and earned Delta Tournament All-Tournament honors.
Her impact was instrumental in Feather River’s historic 2025 season. Manu helped the Golden Eagles capture the 3C2A State Championship and finish with a 37-1 overall record, setting a new 3C2A record for wins in a season and securing the program’s second consecutive state title, and fourth title overall.
“Carol is one of the best junior college players in the state,” said FRC Head Coach Sarah Ritchie. “Her volleyball IQ is insane. She sees the game at such a high level, competes every single point, and can impact a match in so many different ways. She is big time.”
With a championship season already under her belt and national recognition heading into year two, Manu will once again be a key piece for the Golden Eagles as they begin the 2026 season.
