It is with deep and profound sadness that we share the passing of Retired Battalion Chief Tim Williams of the Lassen-Modoc Unit.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Tim passed peacefully today, surrounded by his family. In true CAL FIRE fashion, he was never alone. His family, friends, and members of our fire service family remained at his side.
Tim dedicated more than three decades of his life to serving the people of California, eight of those years here in the San Benito-Monterey Unit.
Throughout his career, Tim shaped the lives and careers of countless firefighters. His dedication to training and developing others left a lasting impact on our Unit and the department as a whole. Those who had the privilege of working with him knew him not only as a leader, but as a brother: steady, humble, and deeply committed to the CAL FIRE family.
Tim, thank you for your service, your leadership, and your dedication. Once a member of this fire service family, always a member of this family.
Rest easy, Chief. We have the watch from here.
