A utility pole fire knocked out power to Paiute lane and surrounding areas in Susanville just after 6 pm last evening. LMUD and emergency crews responded to the fire, caused by undetermined reasons at this time, that damaged the pole and transformer.
Power was restored rather quickly to most affected homes, but those directly impacted on Paiute were told it would be another 6 to 8 hours before the power could be turned back on.
