If you share concerns about the increase in bear activity around your home, you have an opportunity to learn how to put an end to the nuisance.
Lassen Lands and Trails Trust will host a Bear Town Hall this evening at the Historic Railroad Depot off Richmond Road. You will hear a presentation from CDFW Biologist Brian Ehler discussing the latest bear policies, their biology, and how to prevent further disturbances around your home. C&S Waste will also be on hand to discuss your trash receptacle options. Ehler says due to recent fires, bear activity has increased, and due to numerous calls last season, he hopes this town hall will be an opportunity to inform the community to limit conflict as much as possible.
The Town hall will begin at the Historic Railroad Depot at 7 pm.
