A third slide continues the closure of SR 70 through the Feather River Canyon. The closure has been in place since Monday following heavy rainfall. Initially, one mudslide near Pulga Road and one rockslide near Cresta shut down the roadway, and now a third has happened between Belden and Twain. The entire stretch from the Greenville wye to Jarbo gap is closed with no estimated time of re-opening as all slides remained active into yesterday evening.
A smaller slide just past the 147 and 89 junction reduces the highway to one lane. You can expect some delays through this route; there are no detours.
