Although there have been intermittent improvements, the Sheriff’s Office is still grappling with the interruptions in the phone service that have caused their main business lines to be in and out of service over the last two days.
In light of this situation, they are urging the public to use an alternative number, 530-283-7444, when seeking non-emergency assistance.
The Sheriff’s Office is actively collaborating with AT&T to identify and implement a lasting solution to this problem. However, it may take some time to restore normal phone line operations fully.
The SO has apologized for the inconvenience and added efforts are underway to expedite the resolution process.
