Now fully contained and controlled. the Forest Service will continue monitoring the area in the coming months. Officials say ongoing efforts will include patrolling, protecting resources, and mitigating hazards such as dangerous trees.

Over recent months, the Lassen National Forest completed various repair activities, including removing hazardous trees, controlling erosion, repairing watersheds and culverts, and clearing debris from roads. These efforts are part of the multi-phase post-fire recovery process that continues long after the initial fire response.

The Park Fire Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Assessment Report, finalized on September 27, outlines recommendations for the next steps in recovery. For your safety, lands, roads, and trails within the Park Fire Closure Area will remain closed. The Forest Service advises checking the closure map on their website before visiting.
