Underage drinking leads to the arrest of a teen driver after a collision results in significant injuries to a passenger.
The Susanville CHP says On the morning of October 29, 19-year-old Peyton Nasser, of Janesville, was driving east on Gold Run Road, west of Gunderson when Officers reported due to Nasser’s level of intoxication, he was unable to navigate a left-hand curve. The vehicle went off the roadway, down an embankment, ultimately colliding with a large boulder. As a result of the crash, the right front passenger, 19-year-old Juven Reyo of Susanville, suffered significant injuries and was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center.
Nasser received only minor injuries and was treated at Banner Lassen Medical Center before being booked into the Lassen County Jail for Felony DUI.
