Public Notice Dixie Fire information
With the ever-changing conditions affecting the Dixie Fire, The Susanville Police and Fire
Departments would like to remind the residents of Susanville to be alert and be ready to evacuate in
the event that the Dixie Fire threatens the City of Susanville. Go to the following link for the
emergency alert zone map and type in your address to determine the status of your location:
community.zonehaven.com.
Please check your zone on the map and be prepared if either an evacuation warning or order are
issued. The City of Susanville is working to keep the residents safe and up to date on fire
information. Currently the following zones may be impacted, SVL-E004 and SVL-E005. If you
have medical needs that will require assistance evacuating, please call 530-260-6026 and leave a
message. Your information will be placed on a list provided to first responders.
The City of Susanville utilizes the CodeRED notification system and will notify residents if an
evacuation warning or order takes place for your specific zone. Officers will also perform door to
door notifications if an evacuation order is given. We encourage residents remain alert and
prepared. Go to www.readyforwildfire.com for information about how to prepare your loved ones,
animals and property for an evacuation. In these extreme conditions, every citizen should be
prepared.
The City of Susanville reminds residents to not panic, but prepare. In the event of an evacuation,
you will be given the necessary information needed.
