Susanville Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Crimes Against Children After Nearly Two Decades

A Susanville man has been arrested for allegedly committing sexual crimes against children nearly two decades ago. According to the Mono County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Paul Samuel Lent was taken into custody Thursday and charged with four felony counts of sexual acts with a child under the age of 14. Yet on Monday, Lent was arraigned for a total of 13 felony charges for sexual acts with a minor under 14, reportedly occurring in the Bridgeport area during the summer of 2006.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims in both the Bridgeport area and Susanville, with incidents potentially dating back to the early 2000s. Lent’s case remains pending; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
