Susanville Fire Provides Update on Shasta St. Home Blaze

Susanville Fire Department provides an update regarding the home fire that occurred on Shasta Street late Saturday evening.

According to the department’s report, at approximately 11 p.m., fire engines arrived at the scene to find the residence located at 704 Shasta Street fully engulfed in flames, posing a threat to nearby homes.

The crews took immediate action to control the fire’s spread. With the collaborative efforts of multiple agencies, the blaze was successfully contained, and the flames were extinguished.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.

The inferno resulted in damage to two additional homes and one vehicle.

The City Fire Department received invaluable assistance from a range of entities, including Cal Fire, CDCR, Susan River, Standish Lichfield, Janesville, and Milford units. Moreover, support was extended by Lassen MUD, the City Gas and Police Department, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, and the Red Cross.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
