The city of Susanville’s efforts to secure a receiver to begin clearing the blackened remains of the St. Francis Hotel was continued this morning in Lassen Superior Court until June 20 due to procedural issues.
Attorneys for the city of Susanville agreed to the continuance.
The defense alleged the owner of the once historic building was improperly served and there is a motion to quash the summons that has not yet been heard.
An attorney for the city said the city is willing to hear the owner’s plans for the property, but no plan has been submitted to the city.
