Funds will focus on enhancing transportation infrastructure. The funding includes $428 million from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA) and $164 million from Senate Bill 1 (SB-1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017.

Notable allocations comprise $245 million for projects like full trash capture devices, shoreline embankment restoration, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure improvements, railroad overcrossings, and alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act on the state highway system. Projects the region will benefit from include rehabilitating State Route 32.
