Although the snow levels will start out fairly high we can expect them to drop to as low as 3,000 to 3,500 feet by Wednesday evening into Thursday as the coldest air moves in. However, by the time that happens the heaviest snow will have already passed. Some of the areas to watch will be Scott Mountain Pass in Trinity County and Cedar Pass in Modoc County.
